  • Mr. Hake was born and raised in Tipton and is a graduate of Tipton Catholic High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and later earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration, both from Fort Hays State University. After teaching in Gorham, Kansas, for four years and Beloit for 12 years, he moved back to Tipton to teach mathematics and farm.

  • Mrs. Gasper was born and raised in Wichita and graduated from Friends University with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. She met her husband at a Tipton wedding and was married a year later. Over the years, she has worked at the Tipton Elementary School and USD 272 part-time while she raised their family. She then went to work for Edward Jones and Guaranty Financial Resource Center until grandchildren's activities became a priority.

Cheryl Germann
English teacher, yearbook advisor, speech & drama coach

  • Mrs. Germann was born and raised in Tipton, Kansas, and is a graduate of Tipton Catholic High School. After earning her bachelor's degree in Education from Wichita State University, Cheryl taught at a Catholic elementary school in Wichita for 10 years. During that time, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Friends University. In 2013, Cheryl, her husband, Brian, and her two boys moved back to Tipton so that the boys could grow up in a small community and receive a quality education in a small school.

Physical Education teacher, coach, athletic director

  • Mr. Hulse started teaching at Tipton Catholic High School in 2018. He studied Athletic Training for two years at Cloud County Community College, where he also worked as a student athletic trainer and traveled with teams. He then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Kansas State University and attended Fort Hays State University to earn his teaching license in physical education.

Social Science teacher, track & field coach

  • Mr. Tonne was born in Lincoln, Kansas. At a young age, his family moved to Tipton, where he attended grade school and high school. He graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, and completed his student teaching at Salina South High School.  He began teaching at Tipton Catholic High School in 2001 as the social science teacher. Throughout the years, he has coached numerous sports and overseen many school activities.

Maggie McKain - Tipton Kansas Catholic High School 1a.jpg

Maggie McKain
Music teacher

  • Mrs. McKain grew up in Great Bend and earned her Music Education degree from Fort Hays State University. In her 39 years of teaching, she has taught as far west as Ellis and as far east as Blue Valley in Overland Park. She was part of the team that wrote and organized state music standards for music and has had the privilege of speaking at both national and state music conferences and judges for regional and state music contests.
